FAQFractional Real Estate Basics
Can I spread my money across several properties?
Quick answer
Yes. Because you can start from one share, you can hold shares in more than one unit (different buildings, areas or tenants), so one vacancy or one local market affects only part of your money. You can buy into units that are open at the time; a new unit opens when the current one is fully funded.
Why spread
If all your money is in one property, everything depends on that one tenant and that one location. Holding shares in several units spreads that risk, which is much harder to do when you have to buy whole properties.
How it works at Amtaar
Each unit is offered until all its shares are taken; then it closes and a new unit opens. Typically one or two units are offered at a time, so you can build a spread over time as new units open. Every investment has its own contract stating your percentage in that unit.
Keep in mind
Spreading reduces the impact of any one property, but it does not remove market risk. Returns are not guaranteed.
