Why won’t the app accept my mobile number?
Quick answer
The app accepts Egyptian mobile numbers typed as 11 English digits that start with 010, 011, 012 or 015, for example 01012345678. Remove +20 or 20 at the start and any spaces or dashes, and switch your keyboard to English digits if it types ٠١٠. You need an Egyptian number to sign up; if you live abroad without one, contact us on WhatsApp.
The format the app accepts
The app accepts Egyptian mobile numbers only, written as 11 English digits that start with 010, 011, 012 or 015. Anything else is refused with “Please provide a valid Egyptian phone number”.
| If you typed | Type instead |
|---|---|
| +20 101 234 5678 | 01012345678 |
| 201012345678 | 01012345678 |
| 1012345678 (no leading 0) | 01012345678 |
| 010-1234-5678 or 010 1234 5678 | 01012345678 |
| ٠١٠١٢٣٤٥٦٧٨ (Arabic digits) | 01012345678 |
Example number only. If your keyboard types Arabic digits, switch it to English digits for this field, or paste the number without spaces.
Use the same number every time
Your mobile number is your account. Log in with the exact number you signed up with, always in the 01 format. A different number, even one you also own, opens a separate, empty account.
Numbers from outside Egypt
You need an Egyptian mobile number to sign up; numbers from other countries are not accepted. If you live abroad, you can keep using your Egyptian number while roaming. If you have no Egyptian number, contact us on WhatsApp and the team will advise you.
