FAQOwnership & Selling

How do I sell my shares?

Quick answer

You can sell after the first year in two ways: if you have a buyer, Amtaar transfers the ownership for you; otherwise Amtaar sells your shares on the secondary market at the market price at that time.

Two ways to sell

You can sell after the first year. If you already have a buyer, Amtaar transfers the ownership to them for you. If you do not, Amtaar sells your shares on the secondary market at the market price at that time.

What it costs

Selling to a buyer you found yourself is free. If Amtaar finds the buyer, a 2.5% commission applies.

Liquidity, realistically

Selling a share is usually easier than selling a whole unit, because far more people can afford a share than a whole property. It is still real estate, though: sales happen at the market price of the day, so plan to hold for the medium to long term.
